PRS Day Programs

PRS operates Day Programs at two locations: PRS Mt. Vernon, PRS Tysons. These programs provide a structured environment where clients can develop skills, build relationships, and receive support to move forward in recovery.

The Day Programs help clients identify personal goals and recognize their individual strengths, needs, and potential. Clients work side-by-side with staff to master pre-vocational tasks, such as food preparation and office skills. Clients also can participate in psycho-educational groups and socialization activities.

Dual-Diagnosis Service

This service provides state-of-the-art treatment, including assessment and individual and psycho-educational group counseling, to individuals diagnosed with a serious mental illness as well as substance abuse disorder. Outcomes include the identification of personal risk factors and implementation of effective coping strategies to modify substance-related behaviors. Clients are given assistance in locating and accessing community-based supports, such as Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
